ECI MAXI®

ECI MAXI® is the super extreme in wear resistant wear plate and is designed for applications that experience severe abrasion, where standard wear plate is ineffective. Tungsten Carbide granules are spread through a tough matrix of Ni,Si,B producing high hardness resulting in significant increases in service life over other standard overlay wear plate.

The standard base material is mild steel plate of varying thickness, ensuring the finished parts are readily weldable. Alternative base plate grades can be incorporated with the ECI MAXI®overlay to meet specific customer requirements. Additionally, ECI MAXI®overlay can be applied direct to shaped items.

ECI MAXI®overlay has been manufactured to ensure compliance with the microstructure, chemistry, hardness and dry abrasion test values for specific customer requirements.

Bulk Hardness: >700 HV30 (>58 HRC)

Carbide Micro Hardness: >1900 HV0.1

Volume fraction Carbides/Hard phase: >60%

When ECI MAXI® applied to mild steel, weld the base material with standard low hydrogen welding consumables. (Avoid contact with overlay material)

↳ Cutting, Forming & Fabrication

Where required plasma cutting is the recommended method for cutting ECI MAXI®. The mild steel backing plate provides ECI MAXI®with structural integrity, thus allowing entire structures to be fabricated from ECI MAXI®.

Aplicaciones
